All version of windows has typical network related file tcpip.sys which has a half connection limit in itself, which doesn’t allow more than 10 half open connections to be made simultaneously. This has been designed to make your connections more stable and your network more responsive to all computers attached to it. However if you are frequent p2p & bittorent user or surfing the internet heavily, then this l imit may create connection errors or result in connection dropping. TCP-Z is the only program which automatically patches tcpip.sys file to remove TCP connection limit. TCP-Z has been upgraded to latest version 2.4 Build 20090108 to support 32-bit and 64-bit (x86 and x64) version Windows 7 operating system.TCP-Z is gui utility and patches tcpip.sys to increase limit imposed on concurrent half-open outbound TCP connection attempts. Didn't they include a registry hack you could to to manually set the limit as well?Yes they did Patching the TCP-IP stack or tcpip.sys file is a MASSIVE security risk, How can you be sure they didn't just open your entire networking stack for accessing your machine?? Users can change the limit to any value by navigating to the following registry key: HKEYLOCALMACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Services Tcpip Parameters Locate “TcpNumConnections” registry value and change its value data to number you want. Tutorials I am trying to increase my network connection limit greater than 20. I am backing up my servers to a windows7 storage machine and it constantly gives my a 'no more connections available' error and then bombs out. These are not the half-connections, but full established connections. Network & Sharing i use VS theme and want to switch to windowblinds (public). I restored files that UTP offered and installed WB, but all i get is sort of windows 98 blinds (gray and no aero) and something with explorer goes wrong so when i open window i just see frames (of the window) and no content. Customization Only problem:sick: I can see right now in win7 is that the max connections is way too low.:cry: That is why I am getting low speeds with utorrent. Any patch to increase Max connection limit? Hi everyone, I have my HTPC set up with Windows 7 in order to watch TV with WMC and to use XBMC for all my media files. I use the concurrent sessions hack to be able to have two user sessions running at once (so I can admin remotely while people still watch their stuff). The new KB2984976 update blocks the RDP concurrent sessions hack that lots of us use. If you keep Windows updated automatically, make sure to block this patch from installing (or if it already did, then uninstall it and reapply the hack) to keep this functionality. Update: KB2984972 also causes the same problem. Update 2: I played around with it and it's possible that uninstalling won't even fix it. System Restore to the day it got installed fixes it for good.
