Photofunstudio 5.1 Hd Download

PHOTOfunSTUDIO just doesn't work at all After using my new ZS7 for a few days, I decided to try the PHOTOfunSTUDIO software to see what it does. I ran the application and the first thing it asks is whether to check for an update.

Jul 18, 2010 Bought a DMC-ZS7, downloaded the software - PhotoFunStudio 5.1 HD Edition, download and snstallation all went fine but when you open the program. Photofunstudio 5.1 Hd Edition, free Photofunstudio 5.1 Hd Edition download. PHOTOfunSTUDIO 5.1 HD Edition Update Program; PHOTOfunSTUDIO 5.0 HD Edition Update Program. HD Writer AE5.4 Download Program; HD Writer AE5.3 Download Program.

I said yes and it said there was a new update. So I went ahead and began the download. While the file was downloading, PHOTOfunSTUDIO ask if I was OK with the default drives for it to search.

I said No so that i could choose my own drives. I then went into Tools Settings and chose the drive I wanted it to register. It began loading files.

And then it crashed. So I decided to try the new version.

I installed the new one. I open the application. The main window displays. I see the thumbnails from my pictures. I get the pop up asking if I want to connect to the network to look for an update. Regardless of whether I click yes or no on that popup window, I can't do anything else.

It simply goes 'Not Responding'. So then I uninstalled the app entirely and started over. I installed again from the CD (which is required - you can't install the upgrade unless you already have the previous version installed). Again, I open the application and after the pop up asking if i want to look for upgrades it goes Not Responding. So.has anyone seen this behavior before? If so, got any ideas how to fix it?

I'd like to use the functionality to upload the videos because it doesn't work real well pulling the videos off the camera without it. Does Panasonic provide any support for their software? If so, where?

I didn't see a link on their website for technical support. Thanks - DMC-ZS7 Windows 7. I did send my issue to Panasonic and they responded with one of those useless stock answers. They pointed me to the download page and told me to get the drivers for windows 7.

There are no drivers for photofunstudio! It really annoys me when customer service doesn't even bother to read the question. I responded and told them that. Not surprisingly they haven't answered. Meanwhile, the program is mostly working. The only thing I did was, when I plugged in the camera, I chose photofunstudio to acquire the pictures. Amazingly enough it did!

And after it had acquired them, I was able to click through the rest of the photos which it somehow had found in spite of the fact that I had never actually seen it find them. I've been able to use the program to a limited extent. I find that if I click too many buttons it goes back into that 'not responding' mode again. It's obviously highly unstable. I will probably use it to acquire the videos because I haven't figured out another way to do that yet. I usually use Picasa (free) to upload and organize my still photos and post them on the web.

Picasa has some editing capability but I use Adobe Photoshop Elements for modifying / editing (not free but not horribly expensive especially if you wait for a sale). I'm still running version 4.0 that says it's not compatible with Windows 7 but it runs fine.

Praktica Dvc 5.1 Hd

I love its Shadows/Highlights editing. Very easy to use and it does a decent job quickly. It's also pretty powerful considering you can get it for less than $100.

I have the same problem. Bought a DMC-ZS7, downloaded the software - PhotoFunStudio 5.1 HD Edition, download and snstallation all went fine but when you open the program, you can see thumbnails of photo's that were already on computer and then a comes up and says.Sorry PhotoFunStudio has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have uninstalled, reinstalled about 7 or 8 times now, restarted, shutdown and tried again - and nothing. So frustratin but a relief to know its not just me.

Any suggestions on a safe site to download. Panasonic only seem to have updates not the actual program???

My PHOTOfunSTUDIO 5.0 HD crashed every time I started it. I did the following: 1) Updated to version 5.00.309.1033(PAL) 2) Updated QuickTime 7.6.6 3) Moved everything out of 'my picture' folder 4) Removed all Registrations folders (Tools/Settings/Registration folder) 5) Moved everything back into 'my pictures' folder 6) Created a new (emty) folder in 'my pictures' and registrated it in PHOTOfunSTUDIO My PHOTOfunSTUDIO started to work after (3) so I guess that a movie or picture caused PHOTOfunSTUDIO to crash. Try it out and tell us if it work for you as well! 5th time I've uninstalled and reinstalled this terrible piece of software for my Lumix FT2/TS2. I've done so with firewalls and anti-virus disabled while router was disconnected. I'm running XP Home SP3 (legit and religiously updated).

My hardware exceeds the minimum requirements of PhotofunStudio 5.0HD Edition I have the latest version of Quicktime. I've gotten the update for 5.0 HD Edition from Panasonic, still a no go. Having to manually verify the size of the download does NOT inspire confidence in the coding abilities of this company. I've even tried removing all the photos from My Pictures and deleting all videos in My Videos folders to no avail. Each time I boot up PhotofunStudio, I instantly get a dialog box saying the program has crashed and needs to close. On the same computer, I have Picasa, DV Studio and SD Viewer installed. The latter 2 programs are for my Panasonic 3CCD video cam, and all of them work flawlessly.

Has anyone encountered any program conflicts between PhotofunStudio and other software? Shall I just forget about ever getting to use it and avail of a 3rd party video editor like Videopad?

Dear Warhead, Thank you for your kind suggestion and helpfulness. The program never asked me if I wanted to register any folders during the installation process; it only said that it was 'registering', and that the process may take a few minutes.

I do have some photos and vids on Desktop, but will not be trying out your suggestion for one reason: if this software is so affected by other vids and photos before the first bootup, it will also be unstable in the future. I shall wait for Panasonic to release another update. Picasa and Videopad are doing a decent job right now for my simple editing needs, sans the frustration. Best regards, Andy PS: Panasonic seems to have been in a rush to get things to market. Luckily my FT2 performs flawlessly in the field. However in its manual there is a warning to keep the camera away from moisture; and the camera's supposed to be waterproof to 10 meters. Oh the irony!

I'm sure Panasonic also rushed the coding of PhotofunStudio 5.0HD Edition, sacrificing robustness for speed. Tested the program some more and it hasn’t crashed a single time so I guess it’s quite stabile as long as you do the trick stated above. I reinstalled the program with NTSC instead of PAL (since a bought a NTSC TS2) and I didn’t get a question of registered folders. Maybe that setting isn’t removed after uninstallation (I can’t find it in the registry or in any setting file).

I’m not so happy with the sharpness that this camera (DMC-TS2) delivers, especially if you use the zoom and even more so if digital zoom is used. I feel that this make the zoom useless. I tried with a stand and spot focus and many other settings but I just can get it right.

Maybe I expect too much from the camera? Hi from Spain, i have a european tz7, similar that you had but on pal system and limitation of 15 minutes of recordings (stupid machine), well it comes with photofunstudio 3, that it´s really the bad bad program that i tested, but i need it for import the avchd videos, but with errors of phot.3 i lost many videos, i´ll try to find the photophun. 4 or 5, but it´s imposible to get it, read and read forums i find your post where anyone say that him downloaded it, please, please can anyone send me the link for do it, i ´m desesperate and not have a good soft for recover this problematics videos avchd, please, if not, can anyone upload a megaupload or other system for me? Thanks for all and i´ll waiting for yours answer.if you can write me to aso70@hotmail.com because i never used the gmail account of i used for register on dpreview, but they don´t let me use hotmail dominio. sorry for my english.

Respoding to the original post. I had this happen to me with Vista, installing the software, it did exactly what you described. I then uninstalled. Reinstalled and before using the software, I rebooted the computer. Seems to work fine now. I don't particularly like the Photofun HD 5.1 but I use it to import my panasonic zs7 photos and movies.

It is easier to work with the movie formats and if you right click it gives a bit better exif than picasa, though not as good as photome. On a different subject: Some things I don't like about the ZS7: The LCD is so so in bright sun.

My fz28 is actually easier to use and see in the bright sunlight. The playback does not provide info on what settings you used for that photo with regards to saturation, noise setting, or if you used IR or IE. Though I guess that is a bit much to ask. It is hard to learn how the different setting affect the photos without really doing some homework on the EXIF after the fact.

Photo IQ is ok but not if you pixel peep. Also some photos just don't come out well focused, though most are ok. And, some subjects, like dogs and cat coats, just smear and lose detail even at base iso.

Also flash output is weak. Still it is a fun camera and most of the output is pretty good. Share your thoughts. I hope you don't mind if I diverge from the topic of this thread.

In reply to Warhead, do not expect razor-sharp photos from the TS2/FT2 when the zoom is used. The main reason I bought this camera was because it could withstand a harsh environment, while taking photos of 'acceptable' quality. I'm sure Lumix could have made it better, but the additional cost would have made it uncompetitive with its main rivals. I'm doing fine by using Videopad to edit the AVCHD Lite movies, despite the instructions in the manual to only use Photofunstudio to import movies.
