PC GAME FIXES Morrowind for related No-CD & No-DVD Patch No-CD & No-DVD Patch troubleshooting: The most common problem getting a No-CD/No-DVD patch to work is ensuring that the No-CD/No-DVD patch matches you're game version, because the games exe is changed when a patch update is applied previous versions won't work. If its an older game you are playing and you are running Windows 7 or Windows 8 it may not work, if you right click the.exe file and choose Properties and then Compatibility you can change this to run in Windows 98/ Windows 2000 etc. You can find more information on the Beginners Help page.

Hi all, Does a no-CD crack exist for Morrowind anywhere? I used to use Game Jackal on my old PC which has recently died, but I don't really want to wear out the DVD drive on the new one when it arrives tomorrow although if needs be, I'll just have to use the original disc, but I'd rather not bother with the DVD at all once I've installed the game. Gamecopyworld, my usual source for no-CD cracks doesn't have one. Is there anywhere else that does, and isn't likely to screw up my PC? Come to think of it, does Morrowind even work on Windoze 7 64bit? MJB 24.03.10 12:30. 'JC' wrote in message news:4baa893e$0$5736$afc38c87@news.optusnet.com.au.
I can imagine Win7 doing the same so I'm planning on installing programs in two user folders instead: Games and Applications. It will (hopefully) make it easier for me to keep track of all the crap that gets left behind when I uninstall things. I don't get why Microsoft decided to do this really - Why have a folder for installing programs to and then lock it down so that you can't make changes to it? Considering that virtually all modern applications need to update themselves once in a while, it makes little sense. Paul Evans 24.03.10 15:36.

Good luck. I'm running 32 bit XP, so don't know if it will work with your rig.
CheersI've downloaded it so hopefully it'll work fine tomorrow night. Paul. Please report back - in this thread if you would - about your results. Mostly because my next operating system is going to be the 64bit version of windows 7. Thanks.

I recently purchased the GOTY edition of Morrowind with Bloodmoon and Tribunal and was most annoyed that Gamecopyworld did not have a no CD patch for it. I downloaded the one from Mega-Games and it works. Derek prince thanksgiving praise and worship pdf programs. I play Civ TOT, III and IV, Fallout 3, Oblivion, Morrowind, Railroad Tycoon II or III, Anachronox, Deus Ex, Arcanum, Children Of The Nile depending on my mood at the time and various games on FaceBook, while chatting with my kids, although those tend to be boring after a while.

Here's something else I remembered as being useful - a step-by-step guide for installing the patch: Good luck. Cheers for the info! After a lot of faffing around getting used to the way Win 7 doesn't work, I finally got around to installing some games this evening including Morrowind and Oblivion. I'm running the Home Premium version of Win 7 on an Intel Core i3/nVidia GTX250/4GB DDR3 RAM. Morrowind installed with no issues at all as long as I installed it anywhere other than Program Files/Program Files(x86) because of the admin rights issues (it kept throwing up lots of annoying questions so I cancelled the installation).
Installing it under /Games worked fine, although it's somewhat tedious getting asked time and time again if I really wanted to allow any non-Microsoft software near my PC. Also, I didn't install DirectX 8.1, preferring not to have any unnecessary crap on my new PC. The no-CD works great and the game had no problems finding the video files once I copied them across, nor did it miss the outdated DirectX drivers. I've not had the chance to play it properly yet though and I've not used any graphic-enhancing mods yet, but I spent around fifteen-twenty minutes creating my character, walking around town and picking up quests.
The game runs without a hitch except for when exiting to desktop. For some reason, the game leaves a huge, blank window open that can only be killed via the task manager. This seems to happen every time I run Morrowind, but if it's the only problem this game has in Win 7, I can live with it! On my old system, the game would typically last an hour before crashing back to desktop, so it'll be interesting to see how long it runs on my new system tomorrow. I'm going to play it properly tomorrow night with the graphics mods and see how it fares, but so far, so good. Oblivion, for anyone interested installed and runs with no problems whatsoever, with several mods installed. It feels like a shock being able to run it at full resolution with everything maxed out when my old GeForce 6800 could handle 1024x768 with modest settings (though still decent enough).
Here, the graphics card's fan doesn't even bother spinning up, but the graphics are still gorgeous even after six years. MJB 28.03.10 7:15. Thanks for the update.
