EDIT: The hmaservice site won't provide information about a tranny flush (not that I found) but without a machine you can't do a true flush. You can search the forum here for more information about other people's methods.
I think most ended up at the dealer or some other service location. snapback191370/snapback it's not the tranny fluid doing that. At 40mph, the car is trying to figure out whether it should be in 4th gear or 5th. Especially at slower speeds.
It happens on a lot of cars. 40 is the 'wrong' speed to be at since the car will always try to get to the highest gear as soon as possible, and 40 is at the spot when it thinks it should be getting to 5th. (under normal acceleration up to highway speeds, you wouldnt even notice it, but at slower speeds, its more pronounced) unless you have severely beat on your car (i.e. V33sonata), you shouldnt need a tranny flush that early.

It is a two volume set about a foot high written in bad English and with worse illustrations. You won't find step by step instructions for much of anything. And I'm pretty sure it's the same document that is posted on the hmaservice website. That's no piece of cake to use either, but at least you won't waste your money. I bought a Hyundai factory service manual (on CD-ROM) from eBay for $30.
I'm not impressed at all with it because it's hard to navigate and doesn't provide real how-to info, and lots of things are totally missing, but it's supposedly the same thing Hyundai techs use. I also have a Chilton manual for my Sonata, and while it's better in terms of how-to info, it's far from perfect. I've found some torque specs that are wrong, as just one example. 'Yeah, that's a misprint. Sorry about that snapped bolt.'
